Martijn Beekman, photographer for Volkskrant, asked me to create a website where the photos can be as big as possible.
To get the job done I created some javascript to calculate the size of the browser and then scale the picture to it's largest possible size. I combined this with a simple but intuitive design to give full attention to the pictures. I added some nice details, such as navigation in different ways and the information only shows up on rollover on the info button.
